How does your program work?
- We meet with you 1-on-1 to learn about your goals, injuries, exercise history (or lack of, no judgment!). After that, you can sign up for sessions using our app as your schedule allows. We encourage most people to shoot for 2-4 times per week. The coach for your sessions will take it from there. You show up and we take care of the rest.
How often do the workouts change?
- We program the training sessions in 4-week blocks. Within a week you’d have a different workout each day you come in to keep it from getting boring, but you’ll repeat the workouts a few times in each 4 week period in order to really improve on the movements you’re repeating and track progress.
How long are the workouts?
- 45-55 minutes. It depends a bit on the day and how quickly you move through the program, but the plan is to get you in and out in an hour so you can move on the other important pieces of your day.
Do I need to come everyday?
- Definitely not! Our average member comes 2-4 times per week and sees great results.
What is small group training?
- That’s how we deliver our workouts. It’s a training session, with the workout prepared for you, led by a coach, in a small group of people (no more than 8 participants to 1 coach). Small group training is self-paced so you’re never reliant on another member or timer to get the workout you need. Your coach is there to help keep you on track and give you personal instruction all the way through.
Is this like CrossFit?
- CrossFit did a nice job at popularizing strength training, kettlebells, and barbells. We certainly use those modalities. Will you see similar equipment? Yes. But it’s not the equipment that makes Prime special, it’s the coaching, accountability, and community. We also aren’t doing many of the highly skill based movements that feature in many CrossFit workouts. Training sessions at Prime are designed to be inviting for the beginner and scaled up for the more advanced individual.
What if I have an injury?
- That’s what we do best. If you were perfectly fit and know what to do you wouldn’t need to come here. We modify each person’s workout based on their goals and injuries. People often need similar things when it comes to training, but we love to help you work around injuries to help you get the workout you as an individual need.
Do I really have a coach with me at every single workout?
- Yes you do! Every time you come in you’ll be working with a coach who is there to instruct you on what to do, make sure you’re doing it correctly, and support you all the way through. You’ll never be at Prime just trying to figure it out on your own.

Is it a membership or how does billing work?
- We have a range of memberships that bill every 4 weeks. Our memberships range based on how many sessions you want to use per week and how long you commit to. Once we know your goals and schedule we can recommend a membership for you.
What are your class times?
- We have over 50 sessions per week. We start at 5am and go until 10:30am for the first half of the day, and sessions start back up at 3:30pm and go to 6:30pm for weekdays. We also have sessions on Saturday mornings.
Is this a regular gym?
- In the sense that we have equipment and stuff, yes, but outside of that, no not really. We don’t offer open access where you can come and go as you please. We require all our clients to schedule their workouts on our app, that way all of their workouts are with a coach so they can be fully supported at each and every visit.
Are you really for average adults?
- The majority of our members are 35-70 year old people who have pretty average goals of getting a little stronger, losing some body fat, and being able to do the things they love to do. We find that we attract clients who are intimidated by the typical gym. They need coaching, they need support. That’s not to say we don’t have younger clients who also have those needs, but our specialty is definitely fitness over 40.
